FFXI, meet Ulduar

From reading the dregs of information that dribble there way along various routes to end up upon the WoW EU forums that Blizzard has taken a step towards the hardcore. Except this is going in the complete opposite direction to anything else I’ve seen within the current MMO market.

You know that boss which took 18 hours and never went down? Blizzard have made a daring move and introduced Algalon, a boss that is on a one hour time limit.

Per week.

You get one hour, exactly, to face this boss and attempt to kill him. More so he appears to be noted as exceptionally difficult, which may or may not be the case, but with only an hour a week to crack your head against it it will no doubt we a tough cookie to break, yet this just sounds like a boss, introduced in similar fashion to the 3 drakes (which required a 50k+ hp druid tank) to extend raiding time till the next raid is introduced and thus will no doubt spawn a new range of “have you kill <insert bosses name>? No? Well go do it”.
