Hanging onto life.
Currently mucking ‘round in free MMORPGs, thus the quiet across the blogging front.
Random, f2p games such as they are come a dime a dozen and havn’t warranted my desire to post stuff about them because they’re all pretty similar or only have one particular element or even thing/system about them that is good.
Hopefully one day that’ll all be smushed together into a...

Complaint DA:O
If I had to make one major complaint about Dragonage, it’s probably this.
There’s simply not enough big, nasty, bad guys to fight. Far too often you’re left killing random wolves, bugs, standard Darkspawn or otherwise. I love being stuck against an Ogre type creature (or above) but they seem so far in between.
I’m pretty sure the reason behind that is so every area is...
Ow :( DA:O
NPC Demons kick my ass.
NPC Mages ain’t much better.
Only way I’ve found to deal with them is to quite literally run my casting NPC lass up to them, cone of cold them, pray it hits, then get my Rogue or 2hand Warrior NPC to perform a crit strike on them for insta-death.
Harder than it would seem though when it involves running your squishiest class forward!

A second glance at DA:O
I now own all the DLC available so far.
My copy of DA:O came with the Stone Prisoner and the Warden’s Keep only cost me £5 - which considering the game only cost me £25 wasn’t too bad on the deal front.
Had to purchase half the Blood armour though via in game currency but it wasn’t as steep as it could of been.
Fighting is ‘better’ now. I seem to have more control...

Sort o' spoilers. Dragonage: origins
My thoughts on Dragonage: Origins so far.
Warriors/Rogues appear to be fairly ‘weak’ at the start. I’ve not seen any real mage play so far (my character is a sword n’ board warrior), but from hearing how powerful mages are I presume it’s down to the above mentioned classes requiring skills to become ‘good’, whilst a mage simply requires spells.

There be love, love, love
The best response I’ve seen so far to using the newly released Space Wolf codex for other chapters/armies in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
MustKeepOldCodex> “Hey! You can’t play Samus!” Friend> “Why not?” MKOC> “The first time you played this game, you played Jigglypuff. So you have to keep playing Jigglypuff. FOREVER.” ...
Gawd, not again.
People play other gendered characters online. Infact a good majority do, be it chat based, MMO centered or otherwise.
Unfortunately this topic of conversation appears around every 2-3months, with the same debate breaking out, the same answers given and the point having never been reached, even tho. the response is obvious.
I don’t like the ass of my gender
I think the opposite gender...
Kicking your arse
So everyone is getting upon the CO bandwagon, from Biobreak through to Hudson, and all the paraphernalia in-between but of course it’s only a flavour of the month sort of thing. Give it till October and poor ol’ Aion will be in the firing lines, games simply can’t do the players justice. Which is true, because as we know developers are like presidents or prime ministers, unable to fix the ‘easy’...

cleanage
It appears everyone is deleting games from their machines and telling everyone about it, so off the top of my head, if your name is in the list unfortunatly you didn’t make the cut and we’re removed from my drive.

Warlords BattleCry 3

Sliding guitars
Simply not excited currently by MMOs. Am tempted to resub myself up to WoW simply because it’s the easy option out. I want Aion now but in the meantime Lotro is looking tempting for another month just because it’s something to do. I know I’ll end up playing HoN more but quite frankly that doesn’t bother me - it seems I have a desire to simply be subscribed to a game and I...
Quiet on the fronts
Not really playing anything worth talking about at the moment nor am I seeing anything worth writing about, thus why it’s gone silent. Hopefully Aion will capture my imagination enough to spur me on to writing but currently breakdown is sitting on a hiatus until some developer somewhere shows me how to have a good time.
